5 more celebrities that play musical instruments

A few years ago, we published this post about 10 celebrities that play musical instruments. That post proved to be very popular, so we wanted to follow up in 2018 with 5 more. Enjoy.

1. Julia Roberts

The Pretty Woman star played oboe and clarinet in high school. Sorry – we don’t have a video or even a picture of this one! (Source)

2. Jamie Foxx

Jamie Foxx is also a master of the piano. Starting his musical journey at age 5, Foxx went on to study classical music and composition at the US International University, earning a music scholarship. Later, in his academy award winning role of Ray Charles, Foxx played his own piano pieces.

Channing Tatum

Channing Tatum’s New Year’s resolution was to begin learning new things. He recently shared a Twitter video of his self-taught piano skills after only two and a half months of practice. Playing Beethoven’s Fur Elise, Tatum shows how quickly one can come to learn an instrument with practice and persistence.

Tyler Posey

Fronting the Band Lost in Kostko for three years, this Teen Wolf actor has a huge passion for music. His YouTube channel holds an archive of singing and acoustic guitar clips, under a series he has titled “Music for Your Ears to Bleed To”. Posey hopes to continue his passion for music through new partnerships with the likes of Jack Barakat from All Time Low.

Sabrina Carpenter

Carpenter’s singing career began alongside her acting. Ending her role as Maya Hart in Girl Meets World in 2015, Carpenter began work on her second album. Her latest single “Alien” was released at the beginning of 2018.
